PUSH TO HONOR VETERANS, DISCUSS STUDENT LOAN CRISES, BUFFALO WILD WINGS INCIDENT AND UPDATE ON PEMBROKE LACK OF RESOURCES

Chicago:  Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. and the Rainbow PUSH Coalition staff are launching a major campaign to either reduce or eliminate the nation’s student loan debt that hovers around $1.5 trillion and is financially suffocating African American students and their parents.

The issue of student loan debts will be discussed during the Saturday, November 9th, Rainbow PUSH Coalition live broadcast being held 9:30 a.m. at the New Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 4301 W. Washington Blvd., headed by Rev. Dr. Marshall Hatch. 

 

Buffalo Wild Wings and Act of Racism:

Rev. Jackson will give an update on the Buffalo Wild Wings October 26, 2019 incident where 18 African Americans were denied service because of the color of their skin.

 

Veterans Day:

Rev. Jackson will honor veterans in honor of Veterans Day with a special recognition of Cmdr. Frank Thompson, III, a retired U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War.

 

Pembroke, IL Needs Greater Funding:

Dr. Marcus Alexander, Supt., Pembroke School District, will give an update on the lack of resources including energy where one-half of students do not have heat, some don’t have running water, lack of adequate education and jobs.
