Dr. Simon Woolley: A Transformative Global Leader and now a Knight for Justice
A statement by Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr.
I am thrilled that my dear friend and comrade, Dr. Simon Woolley, has received a knighthood, No one is more deserving of this tremendous honor.
Brother Woolley is a global, transformative leader who has used his talent, experience and influence to advocate for action and policies that continue to change people’s lives for the better.
A visionary activist, he has been a powerful voice for the voiceless for decades. Through his leadership of Operation Black Vote (OBV) and his international collaboration with the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and other civil society organizations across the globe, Brother Woolley continues the vital work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to leave no one behind.
