Jesse Jackson, founder and president of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, joined with community leaders at a press conference Saturday to call for a thorough investigation and class action lawsuit in response to the horrific Burr Oak Cemetery crime where workers illegally removed bodies, caskets, vaults and headstones to free up additional space for profits.

Today, Stuart Lockwood has come from the UK and Andy Ramirez from Los Angeles to reunite with Rev. Jackson at the International Luncheon at the Rainbow PUSH Annual Convention at the Hyatt McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago. Rev. Jackson negotiated their freedom - Stuart from the grips of Saddam Hussein in Iraq, and Andy from Yugoslavia during Milosevic's reign in 1999.

The U.S. Supreme Court today ruled 8-1 to leave the fundamental constitutionality of the Voting Rights Act intact. It narrowly rules that the specific voting district in Texas that brought the lawsuit can opt out of Section 5 requirements of the Act. Chief Justice Roberts said the larger constitutional question surrounding the Voting Rights Act "is a difficult constitutional question we do not answer today."
