Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder still has no plans to change the franchise's team name.
Snyder met Tuesday with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss the team's name, a person familiar with the matter told The Washington Post.
Snyder's meeting with Goodell took place a day before the league's scheduled meeting with the Oneida Indian Nation, a group that believes the Redskins' name is offensive and would like it changed. The meeting with Goodell was scheduled for the purpose of gathering information about how theRedskins plan to address the situation, The Post reported.
