Saturday August 25, 2012, Rev. Jackson joined leaders from the local Sikh community to discuss the recent rise in violence and hate crimes across the country. On 90 degree sunny day, Reverend Jesse Jackson & the Sikh community joined hands to march against the recent and continuing violence in the nation.

The meeting pointed out that it is not about color, religion or any other dividing aspect that defines this issue: Gun Violence.

The Sikhs & Rainbow PUSH will continue to work together to push for the ban on assault weapons and create a united front.
